Multi-Location Inventory Feature

Multi-Location & Van Inventory

Stop guessing where your parts are. Treat every truck as its own warehouse and track stock levels across your entire fleet in real-time.

The Problem: Standard inventory software treats your entire business as one giant bucket. You might know you own 50 thermostats, but you have no idea if they are in the main warehouse, in Bob's van, or in Sarah's van. This leads to hoarding, missing parts, and technicians making unnecessary, unbillable trips to the supply house.

How It Works

Opsler brings enterprise-grade logistics to your local service fleet by tracking exactly where every asset physically resides.

  • Step 1: Define Locations Set up unlimited locations in Opsler. Create 'Main Warehouse', 'Van 1', 'Van 2', and 'Yard Storage'.
  • Step 2: Assign Vehicles Assign technicians to specific Van locations. This tells Opsler exactly whose stock to deduct from when they are in the field.
  • Step 3: Auto-Deduction When a tech adds a part to a job invoice, Opsler automatically deducts it from their specific Van location in real time.
  • Step 4: Fleet-Wide Visibility Anyone in the company can search for a part and see a complete breakdown of exactly how many units are sitting in every single location.

Who Uses It & Business Impact

Drastically reduce inventory shrinkage and supply house runs.

  • For Technicians They can finally verify if a part is on their truck before driving to a job, or quickly see if a nearby colleague has a part they desperately need.
  • For Business Owners You stop losing thousands of dollars to 'shrinkage' (theft and lost parts). By holding technicians accountable for the specific stock assigned to their vehicle, inventory accuracy skyrockets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Opsler allows you to define multiple 'Locations' in your settings. You create one for your Main Warehouse, and one for each specific vehicle (e.g., 'Van 1', 'Van 2'). When you receive parts, you receive them into a specific location, giving you a granular view of where every part lives.

It happens automatically. When a technician builds an invoice on a job, Opsler looks at which technician is assigned to the work order. It then automatically deducts those specific parts from that technician's assigned Van location, not the main warehouse.

Yes! If Technician A is on a job site and needs a specific motor, they can search the mobile app and see that Technician B (who is 5 miles away) has three of them in their van, saving a 40-minute trip to the supply house.

You use the internal 'Stock Transfer' feature. The warehouse manager selects the parts, sets the origin (Warehouse) and the destination (Van 3), and executes the transfer. The stock levels update instantly.
