The Opsler lifetime deal for small field-service teams
A field service software lifetime deal usually turns out to be a subscription with a coupon stapled to it. This is meant to be the real thing: $499 once for 5 permanent seats, on exactly the terms our pricing page already publishes, with no monthly bill on those seats and every feature unlocked. Four things are not settled yet — refunds, what happens if you sell the business, the exact edge of "future features," and support scope. We say so plainly below instead of leaving you to assume.
The Proposed Offer at a Glance
This is what field service software no monthly fee means in practice on the base five seats: field service software one time payment covers them outright, and field service software without subscription billing applies for as long as the business keeps running Opsler on them. The arithmetic behind that is simple enough to check yourself: five Pro seats cost $125 a month, so $499 covers the first 4 months and nothing on those seats after that.
These are the terms published on our pricing page, which is the canonical source. This page does not add to them. Pricing and availability are subject to change.
Who the Lifetime Deal Is Designed For — and Who Should Skip It
It probably suits you if
- You have already run real jobs through Opsler and know it fits.
- Your team is five people or fewer and likely to stay that way.
- You would rather own a tool than rent one, and have the cash now.
- A predictable software cost matters more than a low monthly number.
- You are early enough in a business that fixed costs are worth removing.
Skip it if
- You have not tried Opsler yet. Run the free trial first — genuinely.
- You are growing past five people soon; the extra seats are monthly anyway.
- You need something Opsler does not do. The gaps are listed on every product page and no plan changes them.
- The refund and transferability terms matter to you and you need them settled before paying.
- $499 is a meaningful amount of cash for the business right now. Monthly exists for a reason.
What Five Seats Can Support
A seat is a person who logs in: an owner or admin, office staff, or a field technician. Customers on the portal are not seats and are never billed — they open a token link with no login, so you can have as many as you like.
In practice five seats covers a common shape of small field-service business: an owner, someone in the office, and three technicians. Or a working owner and four technicians. Billing on additional seats follows the peak number of active people in a period, so a seasonal sixth person costs you for the months they worked rather than for the year.
If you are already at seven people, do the arithmetic honestly: $499 plus two seats at $25 a month is a different proposition from a clean one-time payment, and monthly may simply suit you better.
Core Field-Service Workflows Included — No Tiers to Buy Up Through
Opsler doesn't split its feature set into a Silver, Gold and Platinum ladder — there is one product, and the lifetime deal is the whole thing rather than a starter edition of it.
Three of these get a full walkthrough elsewhere if you want to see the actual screens: the browser-installed technician app your field staff use on the job, the Good/Better/Best estimating flow with one-time-code approval, and invoicing with an office approval queue before anything reaches the customer.
Lifetime Deal Versus Monthly Subscription
Five seats on Pro is $25 × 5 = $125 a month. Against a one-time $499, the crossover is roughly 4 months. That is division, not a savings claim, and it says nothing about whether Opsler is right for you.
| After | Pro, 5 seats | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| 3 months | $375 | $499 |
| 6 months | $750 | $499 |
| 12 months | $1500 | $499 |
| 24 months | $3000 | $499 |
The table only favours lifetime if you are still using Opsler in 4 months, and the honest way to find that out is to use it first. A monthly subscription you can walk away from is worth something real, and worth weighing against a one-time payment.
Limits, Fair Use and Third-Party Costs
The lifetime deal is not unlimited use of unlimited resources — it is the product, within a stated ceiling. Storage on the lifetime plan is 25 GB per account, and it is stated here precisely because a lifetime purchase is a one-off decision and you should know the number before you commit rather than after. Beyond storage, a few things are worth separating out from a plan limitation, because no amount of money changes them:
| Not included | Why |
|---|---|
| Card or ACH payment processing | Opsler records payments; it does not process them. No plan changes that |
| Customer SMS | Not a live feature in Opsler. Email is the only customer channel |
| Live QuickBooks or Xero sync | Formatted CSV for manual import. Not a plan limitation — it does not exist |
| An equipment or asset register | History attaches to the job, not to a serialised unit |
| Seats six and up | Additional seats are $25/seat/month on top of the one-time payment |
| Third-party costs | Anything you buy elsewhere — a domain, a payment processor, an accounting package — stays yours |
Future Features and Product Changes
"Future features included" means feature releases to the product you are already using. If Opsler ships a new report, a new screen, or an improvement to something on the list above, lifetime seats get it the same as every other account — no separate charge, no upsell.
What we have not written down is how that principle applies to a capability that carries its own underlying third-party cost, or to something significant enough that it might one day be priced and sold as a separate product. We are not aware of anything like that on the roadmap today, but we would rather flag the boundary honestly than promise an unqualified "everything, forever" and figure out the exception later.
Migration, Support, Refunds and Legal Terms
Getting data in. Customers import from an Excel template with duplicate phone numbers skipped automatically, so a re-run does not double your list. Parts import from a 16-column template with duplicate detection rather than a silent failure. Team members and inventory locations import in bulk on Pro.
Getting data out. Invoices and payments export to CSV in QuickBooks, Xero or a generic format, with no export fee. Customers export separately, to their own plain CSV — that one is not part of the accounting formats. Either way, no support ticket needed, which matters more on a lifetime purchase than a monthly one: the thing you are betting on is a long relationship, not a month you can walk away from cheaply.
Three things a $499 buyer would reasonably want settled before paying are not written down anywhere in our terms, and we would rather list them than let you assume:
- Refunds. Our terms cover subscription billing and say nothing specific about a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Transferability. Whether the licence moves with a business sale or an entity change has no stated position.
- Support scope. Any priority or done-for-you onboarding attached to this offer is not specified in published terms.
We also will not claim a guaranteed migration service or a fixed setup time as part of this offer — those are not published terms either. If any of this affects your decision, ask before you pay and get the answer in writing; a vendor who will not put it in writing is telling you something.
Ask us directly, check the pricing page for what is settled today, and the general terms of service cover everything else.
Lifetime deal questions
Five seats, permanently, with no monthly subscription for those five. Every feature is unlocked — Opsler has no feature tiers, so "lifetime" means the whole product rather than a limited edition of it. Future feature additions are included, within the boundary described below. If you need a sixth person, additional seats are $25 per seat per month on top. Those are the terms published on our pricing page, and this page does not add anything to them.
Available now, at the price and terms our pricing page currently publishes — that can change for future buyers, though not for seats you already hold. It is not stackable: one $499 purchase gets five seats, and a second purchase does not multiply into ten; a business needing more than five buys additional seats at $25/seat/month instead. "Permanent" means the five base seats carry no further charge for as long as the account stays active under our standard terms of service — it is not a claim that the offer, or Opsler itself, will exist unchanged forever.
Not yet published. Our terms of service cover subscription billing and say nothing specific about a one-time lifetime purchase, so there is no stated position for us to point you at. For a $499 one-time payment that reasonably matters, so ask before you buy and get the answer in writing rather than inferring it from a landing page.
Also not published. Whether a lifetime licence transfers with a business sale is a real question and we have no stated position on it yet. Ask before buying if it matters to you. The same applies to what happens on a change of company name or entity — these are terms questions rather than product questions, and the honest answer today is that they are not written down.
See "Future features and product changes" above for the full answer. Short version: feature releases to the product you are already using are included; how that principle applies to something carrying its own underlying third-party cost is not written down yet, and we would rather say so than promise an unqualified "everything forever."
Five seats on Pro is $125 a month, so $499 is about 4 months of the equivalent subscription. That is simple arithmetic on our published prices, not a savings claim — whether it is a good deal depends on how long you stay, how many seats you actually need, and whether Opsler suits your business at all. The last one is much more important than the first two, which is why we would rather you ran the free trial first.
No, and we would rather say so. Start on the free Budding plan or the 14-day Pro trial, which needs no card, and run some real jobs through it. The lifetime deal makes sense once you already know Opsler fits how you work. A one-time payment for software you have not used is a worse decision than a monthly subscription you can leave, whatever the arithmetic says.
Try it before you buy it
The free Budding plan runs 2 seats and 50 jobs a month with no time limit, and the 14-day Pro trial opens everything without a card. Run a fortnight of real jobs through it. If it fits, the lifetime deal will still be here — and if it does not, you have lost nothing.
