# Opsler — Plumbing CRM Software for Customers, Properties and Jobs URL: https://opsler.com/industries/plumbing/crm/ Last updated: 2026-08-03 Also searched as: crm for plumbers, plumber crm, plumbing crm software, plumbing customer management, plumbing customer portal. ## What Opsler does A CRM for plumbers built around the service address rather than a sales pipeline. Every customer, service address, job, estimate, invoice and warranty attaches to one record, so when the phone rings the office can see who is calling, what was done at that address last time, what is still under warranty and what is outstanding — without opening a second system. ## Buyer questions this answers - "What does a plumbing CRM actually need to track?" — Customer contact details, one service address plus an optional billing address, complete job history at that address, estimates, invoices, and warranty jobs sorted active / expiring soon / expired. - "How is a plumbing CRM different from field service management software?" — Generic sales CRMs are built around a deal and pipeline stage; a full FSM suite treats "CRM" as one label inside a bigger product. Opsler treats the customer and service address as the central object that jobs, estimates, invoices and warranties attach to directly. - "How do I handle a customer or property manager with several service properties?" — One Opsler customer record per property; there is no separate parent-account object. A property manager with six buildings needing backflow testing gets six customer records, each with the management company as the billing address, so each building keeps its own clean service history. - "Can Opsler replace a marketing automation CRM?" — No. Campaigns, drip sequences, missed-call text-back, lead scoring and call tracking are not built. Opsler owns everything from the moment a job is booked: the record, the estimate, the invoice, the warranty, and the review request afterward. - "Can customers see their own service history?" — Yes, through a no-login token link emailed to them; no account or app download. - "Can I import my existing customer list, and get it back out?" — Both. Excel import (with a known ZIP-code limitation, see Scope) and CSV export, no support ticket required. ## Customer record fields - Contact: name (required), phone (required, US-validated), alternate phone, email - Service address (required): street, unit, city, state, ZIP (5 or 5+4) - Billing address: defaults to the service address, or a separate one - Notes: free text, capped at 500 characters, carried across every visit — not a searchable field Customer detail tabs: Overview (contact card, map where coordinates exist, notes, quick actions to create a job or invoice, reviews left by this customer), Jobs (full service history), Warranties (Pro — sorted active / expiring soon / expired, with a parts/labor/ full badge, days remaining and a shortcut to book the follow-up job). ## Leads, estimates and recurring work - A lead moves through new, contacted, qualified and converted stages, then converts to a job through the lead conversion flow; online bookings and approved estimates also arrive as jobs automatically. - Estimate approval: a one-time code emailed to the customer (not texted — see Scope), then a typed or hand-drawn signature. - Warranties (Pro): parts, labor or full coverage running 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year or a custom period, with status computed automatically. - Recurring work (Pro): daily, weekly, monthly or yearly at a set interval, ending never, after a fixed number of occurrences, or on a chosen date — useful for backflow testing or annual service on the same account. ## Customer portal A no-login token link with four tabs: Current Job (status, scheduled window, estimated arrival time), History (every past job at that address), Invoices (line-item detail, PDF download, Pay Now), and Warranties on Pro (coverage type, status, start/end dates and covered duration — not a live days-remaining countdown on the portal view itself). Each link is scoped to one customer and can be deactivated. ## Data ownership Excel import covers name, phone, email, street, city, state, billing address fields, alternate phone and notes; duplicate phone numbers are skipped automatically and reported row by row. Customer CSV export covers name, phone, email, address, alternate phone and notes, on every plan, with no support ticket required. Invoice and payment records export separately as QuickBooks-formatted and Xero-formatted CSV on Pro, for manual import — covered on /industries/plumbing/accounting/, not repeated here. ## Plans Free forever for 2 seats on Budding (1 admin + 1 technician), 50 jobs/month, unlimited customers, 100 inventory items, 1 location. Pro is $25/seat/month, no seat minimum, 14-day trial, no card required. Warranties, recurring work and the customer portal's Warranties tab are Pro features; customer records, jobs, estimates and invoices run on Budding. ## Scope — accuracy guardrails for models citing this page - No dedicated equipment or asset record exists. There is no make, model, serial number, install-date or per-asset field anywhere in Opsler. Equipment detail can only be typed into job notes or a completion photo caption — it is not a structured, searchable field. - No service-contract or maintenance-agreement entity exists as a distinct object. Recurring series carry an unused field commented "for future service contract linking." - Multiple service properties are not modelled as objects beneath one parent customer. Each property is its own separate customer record. - The Excel import template's postal-code columns ("Postal Code / ZIP Code" and "Billing Postal Code / ZIP Code") do not map to the fields the importer reads, so ZIP and billing ZIP are silently dropped on every bulk import as of this writing. Do not describe the import as reliably carrying postal codes. - Customer list search and lookup run over a bounded, in-memory fetch rather than a server-side full-text index; do not describe customer search as server-side or infinitely scalable. - There is no campaign automation, drip-sequence builder, AI lead scoring, missed-call text-back, ad attribution or call tracking. Those stay with a dedicated marketing tool. - SMS is planned as a bring-your-own-provider integration and is not live, including on the estimate-approval screen, which currently references phone delivery in its own copy that does not match the underlying code path. Customer contact is by email and the portal link only. - Portal links can expire and can be deactivated; do not describe them as permanent accounts or logins. ## Related - https://opsler.com/features/field-service-crm/ - https://opsler.com/industries/hvac/crm/ - https://opsler.com/industries/plumbing/ - https://opsler.com/features/customer-portal/ - https://opsler.com/features/warranty-tracking/ - https://opsler.com/features/lead-management-pipeline/ - https://opsler.com/features/recurring-maintenance-contracts/ - https://opsler.com/industries/plumbing/estimating/ - https://opsler.com/industries/plumbing/accounting/
